Level 16 is the 17th level of The Backrooms.
Description
"When will this torture end?"
Level 16 takes the form of an indoor mock-up of a typical western town, as the level’s name suggests. This level is populated with structures that resemble buildings from the 19th century or from the modern day, with the modern day buildings looking similar to the ones seen on Level 11 and are sometimes inhabited by Adult and Child Facelings. Some of these structures are unfinished, as there is scaffolding in place of the unfinished parts of the buildings. The ceilings and walls of Level 16 are painted to look like a sky, which also have no lights, making the entire level dark if it weren’t for the lights that illuminate the interiors of the buildings on this level.
Some parts of Level 16 are decorated with things like benches, signs, fake bushes, fairy lights, and exposed wiring coming from the ceiling, the walls, and sometimes even the ground. The insides of the buildings on this level are decorated as well, being decorated with typical household furniture and appliances that a typical western household would have. Similar to the buildings, this furniture also looks like it comes from the 19th century to the modern day, but can appear in other styles as well. This level also looks to be long abandoned, as there is plenty of dust and cobwebs in the corners of the fake ceiling and within the buildings.

Entrances and Exits
Entrances:
- Entering through a vent from Level 3 or Level 4 and crawling through it will take you to Level 16.
- Going up enough stairwells on Level 7 may bring you to Level 16.
- Taking an elevator in a building to the basement floor on Level 11 will bring you into Level 16.
- Taking any door on Level 15 will take you to Level 16.
- Entering completely dry areas in The Dark Poolrooms will lead you here.
- In The Blackout, following exit signs will lead you here.
Exits
- Going down a stairwell with a metro sign beside the stairwell will take you down to Level 7.
- Finding an elevator and using it will either take you to Level 4, Level 11, or Level 13.
- Entering a building and going down a stairwell into a flooded basement with slim corridors will take you to Level 17.
